Bernie Ecclestone says the Bahrain Grand Prix organisers could be given another month to decide whether they can hold a race this year.
Speaking to Reuters[1] Ecclestone said: ?I suppose we?d be safe by early June or something like that.
?Things can change in a couple of weeks? so you don?t know. All of a sudden everything might be peaceful in a month?s time and they are happy to run the event and so we are happy to be there.?
In March the FIA World Motor Sport Council set a deadline of May 1st[2] for the Bahrain Motor Federation to decide if a race could be held in the country this year.
The country declared a three-month state of emergency beginning on March 15th[3] following protests against the government, which were met with a violent response.
