Use your iPad Tablet as a Second Monitor with Air Display

If your computer monitor doesn't have enough space and you want to increase your work efficiency or have a more enjoyable gaming experience; maybe your iPad or Android tablet can come to the rescue.

As HowToGeek website explains to us in a detailed tutorial, using a tablet in tandem with a desktop computer or a laptop is quite easy. All you need, besides the two devices, is a copy of Air Display (the app for iPad from the App Store costs $10) and a copy of the Air Display server software for PC or Mac (this one is free).

Access to a WiFi network is also required to allow communication between the tablet and its new buddy.?

The solution is not only available for people wanting to use a second display to arrange tools and windows, such as let's say Photoshop pallets or tool boxes, but also for people wanting to mirror their monitor for teaching purposes.

HowToGeek feels that, although it is not free, the app is well worth paying for, "while normally we like to go with free-as-in-beer solutions, Air Display is currently the best desktop-extending app in the App Store and easily outpaces the handful of free and/or similarly priced options."
